Title:Research Assistants
LOCATION:Sokoto, Nigeria
JOB TYPE:Contract/Ad hoc
We are seeking Research Assistants who will participate in quantitative and qualitative data gathering, and the conduct of interviews in Sokoto state at the LGA level
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer quantitative and qualitative surveys to community members.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews in selected locations.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and ethical guidelines are followed.
- Record responses accurately using both paper-based and digital tools.
- Participate in daily debriefing sessions with the research team.
- Assist in data quality checks and preliminary data cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- National Diploma (ND) or bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo Toolbox) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in field data collection, surveys, or community-based research
- Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Hausa).
- Resident in or familiar with the study location is highly desirable.
