The Media Integrity Initiative Africa (MIIA) has announced the schedule and faculty for its third
quarterly free online training programme, set to hold on Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th
October 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (WAT) via Google Meet.
The training, which has consistently attracted professionals from across the continent, will
feature four rich modules delivered by respected industry experts.

Facilitator: Marcel Okeke – former Chief Economist at Zenith Bank Plc; Editor of the defunct

Public Relations and Organisational Competitiveness
Facilitator: Johnson Onime – former Executive Director (Corporate & Public Affairs) at Daar
Communications PLC; currently Principal Consultant at Intense Concepts & Associates Ltd.

Understanding Media Relations
Facilitator: Dr. Monday Ashibogwu – ex-General Manager (Digital Editions) at Leadership

From Conception to Birth: The Full Cycle of Investigative Stories
Facilitator: Fisayo Soyombo – multiple award-winning investigative journalist and Founder of the
Foundation for Investigative Journalism.
