In Sub-Saharan Africa we work from our 8 country offices to a range of evaluations of third-party projects and programmes. We provide evidence-based recommendations at both a strategic and tactical level to a wide range of multi-lateral and bilateral donors, foundations, international and local NGOs, government departments and corporations. particularly focus on youth employment and education, MNCH, SRH, trade and markets-systems development (particularly in agriculture and financial access), education, environment, governance, and cross-cutting climate and gender related work.

 

Job Title: Senior Research Executive, PA

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

 

 

Job Purpose

• The ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality public opinion, social and policy research that helps clients understand citizens, communities, stakeholders and the broader social and political environment.
• The role will support and manage research projects from proposal development and research design through fieldwork, analysis, interpretation and presentation of findings. The Senior Research Executive will work closely with Research Managers, clients and internal teams to translate complex research data into clear, credible and actionable insights.

 

Quality, Ethics and Compliance

• Ensure research activities comply with Ipsos quality standards, research protocols and relevant professional codes.
• Conduct appropriate quality checks on research instruments, data and deliverables.
• Ensure research findings are presented accurately and objectively.
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of client and respondent information.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when working on research involving vulnerable groups. communities or sensitive social issues.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Sociology. Psychology, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Statistics, Marketing, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in public affairs, social research, market research, public opinion research, policy research, communications, consulting. development research or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience contributing to or managing research projects.

Key Deliverables

• The Senior Research Executive will be accountable for:
• High-quality delivery of assigned public affairs and social research projects.
• Accurate and insightful analysis of research data.
• Strong contributions to client engagements and presentations.
• Quality contributions to proposals, pitches and business development.
• Effective desk research and monitoring of relevant social and policy developments.
• Consistent adherence to Ipsos research quality and ethical standards.
• Contribution to Public Affairs thought leadership and knowledge development.

Expertise & Competencies

• The successful candidate should demonstrate:
• Strong understanding of market, social and public opinion research.
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• Understanding of public affairs, social policy, governance and stakeholder research.
• Ability to develop research instruments, including questionnaires and discussion guides.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong report-writing, storytelling and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate research findings into clear implications for policy, communications and decision-making.
• Good understanding of social, demographic. economic and behavioural trends.
